Leveraging storytelling and strategy to transform First 5 LA’s Early Childhood Education campaign

🔥 First 5 LA’s Help Me Grow in-person workshops campaign was falling flat. The imagery and messaging felt more like a doctor’s office pamphlet than a community resource, engagement was in the tank, and workshop registrations were at ZERO. So, I shifted the approach and reimagined the creative. We started featuring real families, and using storytelling and accessible language to make the content human and relatable. We collaborated with local community centers and influencer profiles to boost reach, as well as introducing incentives like free diapers, baby clothes, formula, and gift cards to boost participation. The results?
📈 30 at-capacity in-person and online workshops across Los Angeles County | 300% increase in community engagement | 98% of attendees reporting increased knowledge of Child Development and greater confidence advocating for their children
